I am so lost!

Hmm, another one of those monthly update, I guess; I promise I'll do better after my exams are done.

I have only got three weeks till my first paper, dreadful organic chemistry, arguably my worst field in chemistry - it has just got too many strangely named reactions that we need to know. Here, I will name you a few, Cannizzaro, Mannich, Claisen, Hell-Volhard-Zelinsky, Darzens, Appel, and so many more than you could ever imagine.

Hmm, I am feeling so dreadful, and hopefully I will do well - after all I am giving it all I can at the moment revising for it. Nonetheless, happier news is that I am more confident with my physical and math paper, but not entirely sure on my inorganic yet.

That's all the update I can offer at the moment. I will post some more when I have time.

Brian Mcknight Concert

I have been fortunate enough to go and see Brian Mcknight live on the 11th april, at the o2indigo, O2 Greenwich, London. Being my first time at the o2indigo, the security check was more intense than the nearby o2 arena.

If you think Brian Mcknight is amazing with his songs, you have got to be to one of his live performances to know that this man has got angelic voices. As with most concerts, he has got guest performer, whose name I couldn't recall already, but I remembered he sang quite good as well, probably one day he will make it.

Billy Elliot The Musical

1st April 2009, Billy Elliot The Musical. I have heard a lot of great reviews about the musical, and watched a few videos on youtube myself. Here is a link to one of the videos from the musical by Liam Mower, one of the original UK Billy Elliot first generation,

Personally, I must say this tops one of the best musicals I have been to so far; Wicked was one of those great ones as well, though I have yet to watch the mightily publicised Phantom of the Opera and Mamma Mia. The musical has been running for three years in the UK already, still pretty new, but has captivated millions of viewers with its great storyline, dancing and singing.

Jason Mraz Concert

My start-of-term tests are over. Here are some photos taken before and during the Jason Mraz concert at HMV Hammersmith Apollo on the 4th April 2009.
While waiting outside; I got a standing ticket, so I queued a little bit earlier before the door opened to get a much better position closer to the stage.

The English band amongst the guest performers that night.
This was taken with my phone camera, and the quality isn't great at all.

There were two guests, a girl from the States as well, and an English band, but anyway, it was a long wait before the man, Mr Z performed.

His encore was incredibly long at almost forty minutes in total - more then a third of his total act. This may be viewed by many as self indulgent, but the fans just lapped it up, much the more so when there was the prospect of grabbing one of the many Poloroids taken of the band by Jason.

I got a standing ticket and pretty close to the stage, but the whole place is so crowded that people kept on pushing each other in order to get closer to the stage, really suffocating, but yeah, it was a great, great concert.

Here he is, performing I'm Yours on that night(not my video nonetheless) and Lucky,

End of term

Finally, the 8 weeks of the Hilary Term is over. I have mixed feelings about this easter holiday really. All sort of questions keep popping up my head eventhough I tried not to think about them.

Stressful times, these really are. Too much to do, yet very little time. However, there are indeed some events to look forward to this easter vacation. First up, I am going to Jason Mraz gig at Hammersmith Apollo, London on the 4th April. It is gonna be hectic april for me. I am also going for Brian Mcknight concert(he is an absolute legend! hear him out if you haven't) on the 10th April, and a star wars musical premiere(in the UK) at O2 Arena, London. Got a Kenny G concert later in the month too, hehe.

I don't know, I guess I deserved it to treat myself after working my a** off during term time. Until the next time then.

Badminton Club Outing - Keble Formal Hall

I finished all my work for this term today, long sigh, finally this term's work is done, just the tutorials to go through. Next term is going to be a hectic one though!

Anyway, went to Keble for formal hall just now. The food was great but not as great compared to Trinity's food(which was part of why I chose Trinity, haha). The dining hall however was comparable to the Christ Church's one(that is where they filmed part of the first Harry Potter film scene).

We spent some time in the Keble student bar, watched an amazing Champions League match between Liverpool and Real Madrid. Such a great match, managed to see the Steven Gerrard goal in the second half, absolutely masterpiece. Real Madrid was so crushed by Liverpool, 4-0 the final score. Oh my, whatever happens to the galacticos? Who knows?
